If you don’t mind the tiredness, long hours and early wake-up, this excursion is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience.
Despite some time wasted in shops or transfer waits (especially at border), the core visit to Petra was great.
Even for a one-day quick trip, Petra’s grandeur, monuments and history leave you amazed. Worth the effort
Tourists should pack water, snacks and comfortable shoes — Petra involves a lot of walking and sun; we were glad we did
The ferry + boat + bus + walking made it a long, busy day — but the end result (Petra) was unforgettable.
